Count Down Reality
Today is the 6th of August. I am now in Maple Valley, WA, and have spent the morning with my MIL Vicki wandering around Pike's Market. It was low key and nice to just do something not driven by the trip.
Last night was a different story. Adam and I took over the living room and repacked all of our bags. Two are at 49 lb. and have rollers for Adam to truck through the Chicago Airport, and two are gigantic duffels that are 69 lbs. Yes, the two duffels are over weight and we will be paying for them out the nose, but it is cheaper than sending the contents via USPS, or FedEx.
The process of thinning out the baggage was not a pretty one. I had to thin down my clothes by a laundry basket full and Adam is leaving back one of his fly rods because it is a two piece and just two long for our bags. I'm sure I can get more workout clothes and other odds and ends in Turkey, but I am bummed for Adam. Fly rods are a bit more expensive and harder to find.
Tonight I am having dinner with Uncle Randy, Auntie Linda, and my cousins, Miranda and Savanna. I have not seen this part of the family since my wedding. When I called last night they had no idea that I would be leaving the country! Something is wrong with the family relay at the Seattle end of things.
Saturday is for riding horses.
Sunday is for lunch with Deniese and dinner with Scott and Jen.
Monday is for last minute bill paying.
Tuesday is for Rose and Bartee!!!
Wednesday is for leaving.
Whew.
And check out my sister's ETSY.com shop. AlaskaJaneHandmade. She was a featured seller in the news letter this week, and people are going crazy over her "poofs".

Sister,
ReplyDeleteI have been spending enormous cuddle time with Comma, I told her your big week is upon us. I can't believe your last week is here! It's surreal! I wish I could be there to wish you well on your way.
Thanks for the shout out about my etsy page. If you need me, I'll be at my post in front of ol' Bernie all this weekend :)
Love you!
Is that Comma sitting on a poof on your sisters etsy site? She looks very comfy...
ReplyDeleteBusy schedule you've got there. I'm glad I get to see you one more time before you take off. I'm sad to see you go, but you're going to have an AWESOME time!
