We Have Made It
Adam and I have arrived in Tarsus, Turkey. After 26 hours of travel, we have slept and awoken refreshed.
Today we are getting tours of the campus, setting up wi-fi (!), and getting dinner out on the town. Ramadan cannons sound in the middle of the night (4 am) to wake people to eat before the sun comes up.
I'll be taking pictures of things soon and showing you all around, so just hold on for a few days.

You'll have to let me know how the coffee tastes to you :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are there and safe.
So exciting! And so weird that I can read about you being in Turkey on your blog... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the time difference between there and here?
A- The coffee is thick and bitter. Gets my heart going, so I may not be able to drink it much. The tea is okay. Very "lipton" in nature, and free flowing. There is a guy here whose job it is to make tea for people all day.
ReplyDeleteL- The time difference with PDX is 10 hours ahead. I'm still thinking on west coast time!
