Ten Years

Today, Adam and I celebrate our ten year anniversary.

Over the last ten years, I have moved seven times, had fourteen different employers (I do tend to have more than one job at a time for some reason), put 230,000 miles on my car, become a professional ski instructor, been made an auntie four (soon five) times, been hospitalized twice, been in the ICU once, danced in one ballet, learned how to sew and quilt, gotten married, purchased three new computers, and spent my first year living abroad in Turkey.

This morning, my comment to Adam is that we don't have much to "show" for our first ten years together.  I mean, it's not like we have a house that we own or kids that are growing up making the passage of time more noticeable.

I like to think we look pretty much the same as we did when we met, maybe with slightly better hair cuts.  I'd look back on some photos, but all of the early photos of us together are in storage in the USA, so that's not going to happen.  Ten years ago was before the digital photo thing had really gotten going and we both still had film cameras.

Here are some photos of us that we have with us.  I hope you enjoy looking back at these events.

  1. I wouldn't say you have nothing to show for it. You're still married, and you guys look happy, which is more than 50% of Americans can say. The fact you aren't divorced and fighting tooth and nail over who's going to get the last penny is a miracle in itself.
